Mandy Walsh holds a BA Psychology/Sociology; (UNISA), MA Counselling (CBT) (University of Wales), Certified Advanced Schema Therapist/supervisor/Trainer (ISST) and Dip Supervision (University of Wales).
Mandy is a BACP accredited counsellor, UK registered independent practitioner and a Certified Advanced Schema Therapist. She practices primarily from a Schema Therapy perspective introducing CBT and mindfulness into her sessions.
Mandy Walsh works with both couples and individuals and has extensive experience in helping her clients overcome relationship difficulties, anxiety,obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), work-place difficulties, depression, traumas and abuse from both childhood and adulthood. Mandy has a special interest in helping couples and individuals who may be struggling in their relationships especially where one or both partners have experienced childhood difficulties or trauma.
In addition to starting the highly successful practice Talk in the Bay in 2008, Mandy has worked in agencies including the NHS and a Trauma Agency where she was responsible for the supervision of a large team of counsellors. Prior to embarking on a career in psychotherapy, Mandy worked for 19 years in an Investment Bank in South Africa, where she established and managed a regional sales and marketing team. Mandy is able to draw on this experience when working with corporate clients.
