Sharon Thomas

Introduction

I am an integrative therapist adapting my approach to meet the needs and requirements of each individual client.
I have a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Diploma in Counselling Trauma. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society.
Life can take us in many directions, and you may find you cannot change events that still impact you. These events may leave you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, or traumatised. I can offer you a safe space that will be confidential, and non-judgmental, to share your concerns and explore options.
I am an empathetic and genuine person and I feel passionate about providing the time and the space needed for individuals to feel heard, valued and understood.
I believe this time can help develop your self-awareness, improve your self-esteem and result in positive growth. This will lead you to have more trust in yourself when it comes to making life choices and discovering your own solutions.

I started my counselling journey in 2015 and gained much experience from working and volunteering with organisations such as MIND, New Pathways (Trauma, Sexual Abuse and Rape), Eye to Eye (working with young people) and Affordable talk.
I work with Anxiety, Trauma, Abuse, Rape, and Sexual Abuse, and Young People.
Currently training in Schema Therapy and intend to work towards certification.
I am available Mondays and Tuesdays for face-to-face and online sessions.
