Hi, I’m Sorayya. I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and Psychotherapist working in the field of general adult mental health. Authenticity, Kindness, Honesty, Transparency & Ethical living; are just some of the values I live by and that are reflected in my approach to therapy. I began my career in Mental Health in 2009, I now have 2 degrees: BSc Psychology and MSc Behaviour Analysis and Therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings, including psychiatric wards, prisons, schools, universities, foster care and adoption system. The array of settings and populations over the years have allowed me to identify where my love lies: helping adults who are in distress with their mental health. I am a registered member of the BACB, UK-SBA and BACP.
I specialise in the use of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the principles of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). I have extensive experience working with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, phobias, trauma and more. My approach is hands-on and we actively work on identifying problem areas within your life, prioritise them and equipping you with the necessary tools needed to resolve them; and any future difficulties that may arise. Whether you come to me because of work stress, social anxiety, past trauma, depression, problematic behaviour, or anything else that may be troubling you; I will draw from a range of therapies to help you overcome any obstacles that stand in the way of you being the person you want to be. I endeavour to maximise an individual’s potential for a rich, full and meaningful life; through mindful values-based living. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore any difficulties you are experiencing.
