Sues George

Introduction

Hi, my name is Sues George and I am a qualified Integrative Counselling and supervisor.  I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and I adhere to their Ethical Framework.

My experience and expertise have been developed in a variety of settings such as working with staff within the NHS, within Barnardo’s Family Wellbeing Service (with families) and with Crossroads Care in the Vale (working with carers of individuals who have a diagnosis of dementia and late onset mental illness).

I work with adults, couples, groups, older adults, organisations and trainee counsellors. I currently deliver therapy online counselling or telephone counselling. I have experience of working with abuse, anger, anxiety, bereavement, child-related issues, depression, health related issues, identity issues, life coaching, loss, personal development, redundancy, relationships, self-esteem, sex-related issues, spirituality, stress, trauma, women’s issues and work-related issues.

I have been a qualified Integrative counsellor for over 10 years, therefore, my training and experience as a therapist, combined with my own life experiences, will help me to tailor your counselling sessions to meet your specific needs.  I’m able to work short, medium or long term, whichever you feel you may require; you are in control of how many counselling sessions you have and I will incorporate different approaches to help you. These approaches include person centred, psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT, relational, solution focused brief therapy, systemic and transpersonal models of therapy.

It seems to be a fact of life that we can all struggle at times with different types of problems, such as feeling anxious, stressed, depressed, having relationship issues, experiencing parenting difficulties or work stress, to name just a few. Talking to someone can really help.

I offer a safe and non-judgemental space where you can be the real you and say the things you really want and need to say… as they really are. For instance, sometimes we can feel hidden, unheard, low, confused or trapped. Counselling is a place where we can look at our options and explore ways that can help us to move forward and overcome any obstacles we may be facing.

I would feel privileged to work alongside you to help you to uncover the answers and solutions you are seeking, believing and respecting that you are the expert in your own life.
