Neill Hughes
Hello, I’m Neill Hughes a trauma-informed therapist and I help clients navigate difficult life expereinces and process past traumas. I have a degree in person-centred counselling, a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I have completed training courses in my specialism such as Trauma Focused-CBT for PTSD, DBT skills, Metalization based therapy and Schema therapy. I have over 11 years expereince working with clients and I specilise in trauma, neurodivergent clients and working with anxiety and relationship difficulties.
My therapeutic approach is a comibination of psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy and understanding your underlying issues. I have experience with several different therapeutic approaches to help understand you and help confront difficulties you maybe facing with compassion.
I will sit alongside you in sessions and we will work collabratively. I will start by working on understanding what has brought you to seek therapy and the areas that you are currently struggling with. After an initial session we can then decide on the best approach to help support you and identify your goals that are unique to you. It maybe that a client needs a cognitive-behavioural approach or it maybe that their are underlying issues and trauma and I will help you to recognise and understand your patterns. Throughout sessions you will have a safe and non-judgmental space and I aim to help you find understanding and peace to move forward in your life.
