Mandy specialises in helping couples and individuals who are struggling in their relationships where one or both partners have experienced childhood difficulties or trauma. She has been an active member of the Schema Therapy for Couples Special Interest Group since 2014.

Schema Therapy helps you to understand the unhealthy patterns that have been destructive in your life and in your relationships. Mode maps give further understanding to the clashes that have taken place between unhealthy coping modes and underlying schemas. Slowly, perseveringly and collaboratively you will be able to set out on a different course, with a new understanding of yourself and the direction you wish to take.

Outside of the therapy room, Mandy works in partnership with small, medium and large Corporates, assisting organisations with their wellbeing strategies and improving mental health in their workforce. Mandy worked for 19 years in an Investment Bank where she established and managed a regional sales and marketing team. She is able to draw on this experience when working with corporate clients. In 2008, Mandy co-founded and developed Talk in the Bay, a therapeutic practice offering therapy, supervision and training for individuals, couples and young people. Mandy is also a director and member of Affordable Talk CIC, a low fee therapy service.

Mandy runs regular schema therapy workshops and offers supervision for mental health practitioners who wish to gain certification or knowledge in schema therapy She brings her passion and energy for schema therapy into the training room which enables those attending her workshops to learn the models for individuals and couples.
