Louise is a qualified and experienced Counsellor offering one-to-one counselling. Louise’s aim is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment to assist you in exploring your issues. Louise uses an integrative approach to client centred work, ensuring that the client is at the centre of the counselling sessions. Drawing on a variety of therapeutic approaches that aim to suit the needs of the individual, she will explore with you your thoughts and feelings.
Louise has worked with many issues such as: anxiety, depression, abuse, sexuality, identity, low self-esteem, bereavement and loss. However, Louise has special interest and experience of working with self-harm, suicidal ideation, substance misuse and addictive behaviours. Louise has experience of working as a counsellor within a variety of settings including; the voluntary sector, statutory sector, education sector and the criminal justice service.
Louise is qualified to work with children (aged 10+), young people and adults. Louise has a Masters Degree in Counselling Children and Young People, a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People, an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a BA (Hons) in Education and Drama. In addition, Louise is a registered member of the BACP (MBACP) and adheres to their code of ethics and complaints procedure.
