Louise is a qualified and experienced Counsellor offering one-to-one counselling. Louise’s aim is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment to assist you in exploring your issues. Louise uses an integrative approach to client centred work, thus ensuring that the client is at the centre of the sessions. Drawing on a variety of therapeutic approaches that aim to suit the needs of the individual, she will explore with you your thoughts and feelings.
Louise has worked with many issues such as: anxiety, depression, abuse, sexuality, identity, low self-esteem, bereavement and loss. However, Louise has special interest and experience of working with self-harm, suicidal ideation, substance misuse and addictive behaviours.
Louise is qualified to work with children (aged 10+), young people and adults. Most recently, Louise has begun studying for her Masters Degree in Counselling Children and Young People. Louise has a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People, a Diploma in Counselling and a BA (Hon) in Education.
In addition, Louise has experience of working as a Counsellor within the Statutory Sector, Voluntary Sector, Education Settings and the Criminal Justice Service. Louise is a registered member of the BACP (MBACP) and adheres to their code of ethics and complaints procedure.
