I specialise in CBT counselling in which I hold an MSc as well as having over 11 years experience working with clients individually and in groups. I also have over 16 years experience working for the NHS in counselling and nutritional roles. I am a registered and accredited member of the BACP – (MBACP-Accred).
I am experienced in working with a wide range of ages from many different backgrounds on a variety of issues, including: self-esteem, eating disorders, depression, self-harm, anxiety, bereavement and stress, to name a few.
I am particularly interested in working with eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Binge-Eating Disorder, Bulimia Nervosa, Obesity and Emotional Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (EDNOS).
We all have periods in our lives when we go through painful times and encounter difficulties, and we struggle to cope in our usual ways. Counselling can help by giving you the opportunity to talk to a trained professional. I am a warm, positive counsellor committed to helping you, the client, find the right pathway towards reaching your full potential in life. I believe that by understanding the issues we face in life we can ultimately move forward with renewed and enriched perspectives. I am enthusiastic, caring and sensitive to others’ needs and offer a confidential, supportive and non-judgemental space for you to talk about what is troubling you, all within a safe environment.
